The Science Bridge Programme is a project that aims to implement, in the UK and India, efficient decentralised bio-energy systems and to carry out research needed to assist widespread adoption of these systems

One objective which comes under a fourth work package of the programme is to implement a hybrid solar-biomass power plant in India

It is proposed that the hybrid system will be used in conjunction with a tri-generation system, which uses the thermal energy for various processes.
